Community heat pump

Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

One from Harry Hills neck of the woods, Swaffham.

Not convinced as far as community / district heating systems go for domestic users, the UK have never really embraced the technology and where it did the results were always mixed (eg Sheffield waste to heat incinerator district heating). But as a demonstrator for industrial estates and complexes / military bases / hospitals etc etc it looks like a runner.

Once "the council" get involved everything becomes: expensive, inefficient, and expensive. We really don't do "community" anything very well in the UK.

I'm onboard with "waste heat" generally. I once visited a friend who lived in a new-build housing estate in the shadow of a huge power station cooling tower. Seemed nonsensical to me for the hot water not to be piped round to all the houses!
