Update on Solar PV fitted in the Uk since inception:
13 GW installed
27GW to be installed gov., stats to 2030
Which means 6 years of installing at 4.5 GW per annum over the above period
Plenty of business for all of us .

If that's true ?

Hiya Colin, the 2030 target seems a tad confsing at the moment, with many figures based on what people/industry would like to see. So the reporting is as clear as mud.

I think the semi-official figure from Rachel Reeves is 32GW (total) by 2030, so an additional 16GW. But I'm not 100% sure on that figure, as it may 'simply' be based on their aim to double UK PV by 2030, which recently hit 16GW.

So that might be closer to 2GWp to 3GWp pa, especially if the target includes 2030, as it may be 'in' 2030, not 'by' 2030, as political end dates are often a bit loose.

I'm also not sure if the official figures include Nowty and Joeboy, as they could impact the numbers significantly.
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

Current figure is 17.19 GW installed, but its always underestimated due to lags in reporting. And I note there has been another retrospective record on 2nd June this year, although the national grid official record has not picked up on that yet.

https://www.solar.sheffield.ac.uk/pvlive/
16.9kW PV > 107MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 22MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

That was 10th May so they were already generating. :xx:

2nd June would have been a Nowty Towers record if I was not away from home and left the batteries to fill up and cut off the DC charge controllers.

However, It does hold part of my record for non stop exporting for 44 hours.

That's about as much PV as China installs every week or something!
