Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Thames water shutting pv subsidiary

I am surprised at this: https://www.theguardian.com/business/ar ... ebt-crisis
Thames Water owner to liquidate solar energy subsidiary amid debt crisis
Exclusive: solar developer Trinzic to voluntarily shut down as holding company seeks to recoup more than £25m
Given that they have lots of land and reservoirs to float panels on (and that it is a success elsewhere) I can't believe that the company can't be sold on. It must have skilled staff (worth quite a bit now,) plus inside knowledge on how to work safely and the special rules in that industry. Agreeing rents at waterworks can't be that difficult, so I would have thought that it could have had a bright future.

Maybe it just doesn't generate enough cash quick enough for the sharks in the world of finance.
2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!
