Well what with all the talk of HVDC interconnectors in Europe being transformative, and the recent proposal for the Morocco-UK XLink connection seeming to be "great but bonkers" - looks like the Aussies have turned it up to 11.

They've approved building the Australia-Asia HVDC interconnector and its associated colossal solar farm.

Wow, amazing that this Pheonix has risen back out of the ashes. And if this scheme is viable and 'they' start to build the submarine cable, then that might suggest that the UK / Morrocco scheme is possible too?

At this point I think both schemes may be a coin toss, but I do hope they are possible.
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.
