Might work. Might not.
A 1k resistor is coloured Brown Black Red. As shown before you look at the video.
The video tells you to use a 10k resistor. Which would be coloured Brown Black Orange.

Probably depends upon whether you want it to work with a phone torch (10k) or sunlight (1k).
Not really a finished controller for a full sized tracker: - when I built mine I used an lm324 quad opamp: two in a similar configuration to the video but with an adjustable threshold for light imbalance level before activating, and the other two for a time delay to stop the panels 'cloud chasing', then a couple of relays to drive an actuator.
