Our other BEV, the 2018 IONIQ 28kWh is astonishingly efficient. It was averaging 4.7miles/kWh till we got the TM3 (in 2020), after which it felt slightly weak, so we've been driving it in sport mode since then, but still averaging 4.5 miles. An absolutely incredible feat, and from an ICE derived platform. Hats off to Hyundai.

Tested it on a jaunt to my sister's and back, only 11 miles each way. Some slower roads, bit of dual carraigeway but I kept to 65mph, and whilst not being really careful, just tried to drive it well, it managed 5.2.

We got it to replace the petrol Zafira, and to go with the then Leaf 24kWh. Before buying Wifey joined the owners club to ask about range, as we couldn't believe the quoted 130 miles, given the Leaf was only good for 70 very careful miles. The replies all said 130 was easy, 150 if you take care. Absolutely right it turns out.
