More chocolate teapots!

Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Cheers Gus and OGB, really interesting stuff. I look forward to hearing about some bigger BEV tractors in the news.
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

It's a shame the old summer agricultural shows have gone away (showground owners mismanagement where mine is concerned)

The shows were places to mix & mingle, get the down low info, free pints check out the gear all in one place in hopefully good weather, the throughput for ours was 25000 through the turnstiles each day (long bar hours, long days) ..you could get the detail across to a deceptive audience, mostly that has gone away bar a few "royal" shows

I didn't add this thought, still mulling it through, as I don't think it's realistic hearing in mind exposure of cells & theft possibilities.

Many tractors have adjustable front weight ballast, (removeable)
A canny designer might, create an encased plug & play battery ballast that you'd need to remember to add on the lot (maybe) if you were loaning out a removable main battery pack & still needed to get home (if you had just the one main battery pack but we're inclined to resource share.

Obviously the sensible answer that would have folk wavering would be the outright investment in a second big tractor unit battery, unless you were investing in a switchable pack to take the cost off mains supply in a particular area, & occasionally remove the battery & to use back to mains for a few days (offsetting that big solar array in the main, ..one for the accountants indeed) on a big agricultural shed in need of a chiller or something.

This is a basic intro into weights n' tractors
https://sandcreekfarm.net/how-much-does ... tor-weigh/

10% weight added to a big old tractor so 2500kg modern powertrain in the equivalent of pylontech as ballast is 250kg ...piddling amount of secondary back up battery, but range potential nonetheless, then again if we mess around with a tesla semi as a principle donor of powertrain & scale what do we have? (Doubtless another step in scaled up tesla design we will see imminently)
