Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

U.K. Cable input has been at 20% of U.K. capacity twice in the last ten days.
If France turns it off the lights will go off. How are cars going to be charged
and heat pumps going to work. ?
It's ok we've got another 11GW of HVDCs either in construction or in planning, much of that to France, so our reliance on the French selling us their nuclear-generated electrons will only increase in the coming years.

Has the Norway link gone live, or is it still being tested? Just noticed that we are currently importing 1.22GW according to gridwatch.co.uk (15:24 BST).

The last time I looked they were hoping for final commissioning in October, so I expect this is still testing - full capacity is 1.4GW.

Just what we need!
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

At what point do the diesel generators fire up? Surprised they're not going already?

Maybe the Norway link is being tested in a way not planned! The recent drought over there means that they won't be too keen to supply much power unless there is a significant propect of replenishing soon.

£4k per MWh would make them keen to expedite testing! I wonder if IFA was designed to run at max capacity for only brief periods and has caught fire because it was run too hot for too long?
