The term is a loose one, the UK govt is already trumpeting Rolls Royce micro-nuclear (cuddly sounding right ) ..if we plugged away at packing in renewables we create a new baseline for the remainder of a consistent steady supply in "whatever form" to get across the line without tripping ourselves up, over coming seasons folk will have to get more savvy about heating, cooling through the seasons with more efficiency, France's nationalisation of EDF is likely to change things as it is on something of a war footing with regard to supply (ditto the rest of the EU) can see French government being proactive through the EU for efficient change, it has surely to recognise its own nuclear fleet is a bit Merde, & it has to increase renewables to plug gaps with best value & the potential to deploy now, lots of temporary (10 year) !? contracts maybe for rural solar from borderline agri-space, ..hopefully lots of desp's ground screws
Disappointing to see the EU seemingly classify nuclear & gas as green all of a sudden, wondering as to how the puzzle pieces fit.
