So, for those that have batteries, do we now switch them off and use as much kWh as possible between 4-7pm before joining the scheme?
It's a bit unethical, but the way to game the system might be to charge the batteries, cook meals, run the washing machine etc during the peak rate period, before the system starts, then switch to running off the batteries as soon as the payment window opens.
Last year Octopus did run a couple of events in the night time too, which turned out to be quite lucrative.
