Why would sunak want to make wind turbines more expensive by dint of making successful land based wind farm applications harder to get?
..deep sea pilings, fingertip seabed munitions searches, mega cable laying on the seabed et al, raises the price exponentially.
Or is it a rule to make nuclear prices "appear" better value?
& Truss is anti solar farm on agri land, ..like that's the only option
..From whom are they getting their b.s. not particularly well thought into from? ..the daily fail?
Country is a ticking energy bomb & leadership is notably absent & stuck in 2004 renewables techniques (easier to deny via subterfuge) it seems.

Their current positions are mostly aimed at getting support for the up-coming vote for the position of PM. I would not take too much notice of their present claimed positions as they are only aiming these points towards the conservative party members, hoping to get their support for this coming election vote.

It's lies to them & to us, pretty badly rigged politics & accountability "game" sadly, it not.

I note that truss is promising a cabinet place for another current female member. Just another example of her trying to appeal to the female tory member voters?
It is just politics in action, as usual.

It’s a pity their statements/promises/policies aren’t contractual in some way, rather than the nonsensical lies they all peddle just to get elected.
Beggar’s belief that somewhere in the region of 160K Tory party members can be so out of touch with reality if this campaign is what Truss and Sunak have to do to appeal to them.

Just need to see who the target audience is for Truss and Sunak at the moment. It isn't the whole electorate, it's an extremely tiny, self-selecting, minority, as typified by those in this BBC News item:

Absolutely, on all points!

I have said for years that politicians salaries and pensions should be index linked to their policies and performance - just like the rest of us, you do good work and you get a good salary and a good pension, however if you do bad. or indeed, illegal, or immoral things and you get less of the rewards package or even pay a fine and go to gaol(jail)!
We need people to govern us who understand that they are also going to abide by the rules and regulations that they set in motion, no excuses and no bobbing off to live in another country off the profits of a botched 5 year tenancy in Downing street.
It really shouldn't be that difficult should it ? Sadly I don't see either of the current candidates meeting my basic criteria,
