This is absolutely fascinating. Leibreich gave the opening Keynote presentation at the World Hydrogen Congress yesterday, and told the audience some very cold hard facts. The write up is really good reading.

But his point about H2 being a decarbonisation problem in and of its self is so poorly understood - let alone wanting to somehow use H2 to decarbonise everything everywhere - is really important!

Dan, recommend you give a heads up on what you've recently told us re those lease mirai's (the firms site still shows em, but not updated the site in terms of news since late 2020, their only NON HYBRID offerings are TM3 & V.W. i.d)

You want to drop someone in the guardian dept a link to the threads? ...the retreat of hydrogen tech & the londoncentric Hydrogen fill station has got to be newsworthy on the scale of things, ...i'm wondering as to any further fill station withdrawals over in europe which would give us a bigger picture.

Last night I saw a Mirai with the Green Tomatoes logo on the back window parked up in a driveway in St Margarets - about 1.5 miles from the Green Tomatoes depot where I saw the trailer being loaded the other week.

Now I know it's there, I'll keep and eye on it to see if it actually goes anywhere over the next few weeks. Because at the moment I can't see where it gets its Hydrogen from in the local area at all.

Damn!

That's an absolutely brilliant article Dan. I'm stealing that for other forums and chats. I think the final two paras are great, explaining H2 has it's uses. So it's not an anti-H2 rant, it's an anti H2 in the wrong places rant.

Also great to know that we seem to be going in the right direction, so long as we don't get distracted by these 'silver bullets'.
