I mentioned in the thread on Sizewell C that investing in distributed storage for homes might give better value for money, and more quickly, than investing in big, very long term, projects. This article seems to prove that rather well. Reinforces the argument that it is possible to do things relatively quickly that may well have a pretty dramatic impact, both on the uptake of RE and, perhaps more importantly at the moment, on energy bills.

A great approach in my opinion! I have often wondered why there aren't more setups like this, particularly when solar panels can be located on prime rooftops, but power distributed across multiple houses.
My mum lives in a bungalow on a cul-de-sac, with multiple other bungalows owned by the same housing association. All are relatively close and would benefit massively from a distributed generation scheme, but there's zero interest from the housing association.
