Have you got 5 mins to listen to Sir David King ?
I do not want to worry you .
But i suspect he knows what he is talking about.
Re: Have you got 5 mins to listen to Sir David King ?
CO2 not showing any sign of levelling off yet,
https://ourworldindata.org/co2-and-gree ... -emissions
I remember in "An Inconvenient Truth" (the Al Gore Docu Film), this is a screenshot about 23 mins into the film, edited by me to show what the actual CO2 level was in 1980 (340ppm), when the film came out in 2006 (380ppm), what it is today in 2023 (420ppm) and what it might be in 2056 (500ppm) which would be 50 years into the future from the film. I recall it going over 400ppm in around 2015 and I was shocked, thinking it was less than a decade from when the film was released.
The angle of the camera exaggerates it a little but you get the idea where we are headed and maybe still in my lifetime, let alone my daughter or grandchild.

Nowty
CO2 has a very easy solution just ban all high altitude flights and watch the CO2 levels fall. Instead I think it was last week we had the highest volume of flights worldwide in the air at one time ever.

Stopping all aviation could curtail a few percent of global warming at best, we need to do an order of magnitude better than that at least and fast. With our esteemed leaders behaving like cavemen still chucking rocks at each other. Basically we are screwed.

Small as a percentage of global emissions, even if you add the extra 1% for radiative forcing, but rising,

Depends whether you believe CO2 is a problem or not. As a farmer I dont believe it is and the world will benefit from higher CO2 levels.
Others seem to have the same opinion.

It does not take long to debunk that guy.

Debunk the guy as much as you like but coming down on hard facts plants do grow better with more CO2 not less. Standard method to increase production in polytunnels is to add CO2. So I would suggest looking elsewhere for this global warming beast.
Re: Have you got 5 mins to listen to Sir David King ?
As previously explained, that only works in poly tunnels and greenhouses, because all of the other factors can be closely controlled too, such as nutrients, temp and water.
No end of science papers clearly stating that whilst higher CO2 levels will mean larger plants, it also means they will be less nutricious. There are huge concerns that the falling nutritional value of rice, due to rising CO2 levels, will have a massive impact across the world.
Whilst I do believe in free speech, I think the repeated science denial of both AGW, and propogation of false information regarding rising CO2, on a site such as this, is at best, disappointing, but actually somewhat disgusting.

Re: Have you got 5 mins to listen to Sir David King ?
Plants may grow better with raised CO2 concentrations either in or out of polytunnels, please explain what that has to do with global warming with some proper science if you will. Ta
