Rebadging of heatwaves as being direct fault of companies like Chevron = “naming & shaming”

Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Maybe need to help Sir David King with his artic theory and point him to the real culprit of el nino. Can never understand why el nino is such a problem as we have the technology to stop it. Although the video is quite simple it explains the cause as a lack of mixing of hot and cold water. We have the same problem in our reservoirs every year when the surface water gets hot the pumps are turned on and the cold water from below is mixed with the surface water and the fish dont die or the algae bloom. Simple floating solar panels connected to temperature controlled water pumps would easily solve the problem.

I suspect the sheer scale of the pumping that would be needed and the chances that the kit would be wrecked by storms make it a non-starter.

AE-NMidlands Dont think the pumping would need to be that great as your only mixing cold deep water with warm surface water and then only mixing when the surface water gets over a certain temperature. Storms being predictable could easily be avoided by making the surface solar submersible for protection the pump would already be submersible and probably tethered to the see bed like the old fashioned minefields.
