I would think the electrical radiation there would be significant. You could probably fit an induction loop in the loft and never pay for energy ever again :mrgreen:

The Upside.

The house is protected from a direct hit lightning strike. With a direct hit on the pylon first.

The Downside.
If there is carbon build up across the insulators. They crack and the cables drop.

400Kv live cables falling on the induction loop could cause a problem. :O:

I suspect 'close' involves a tree house like design and a rope ladder. But how many pylons are there in Britain, I'm thinking one pyramid like 'townhouse' per pylon, would help with the property shortage ........................ ;)
