There seems to be a battle raging behind the scenes in Cleantechnica. Tina Casey posts numerous articles which are mostly nonsense, with a sprinkling of garbage on top. Such as the Airloom article. She also produces lots of articles on any random H2 scheme that is launched around the World.
Michael Barnard produces huge and detailed reports, on the science and tech, and also rips most of the H2 schemes to pieces, reporting on their failures, rather than just the grand ribbon cutting news stories.
Seems a bit cruel to pick on Tina, but this has been going on for over a year, and I now simply assume the story will be dodgy, when I see her name on it.
A year or two back, she, or another 'dodgy' writer got really stroppy when everyone, and I mean everyone, including me, commented on how stupid a story was - It revolved around a source of water high up, and the idea that BEV trucks using that route, would have water tanks built into them, so they could fill up the tank at the top, get extra regen on the route down, then empty the water back into the watercourse at the bottom. Most comments said this was an insane idea to fit these tanks to multiple trucks, but my suggestion was simply to run a pipe from the top to the bottom, and use a small hydro unit. If you wanted to support the BEV's, then add a charger near the hydro unit.
The author referred back to the criticism for weeks, in article after after, even claiming that the story of a train in Australia, that carries ore downhill, and can charge up on regen, is the same idea, so everyone that criticised her story was wrong .........
