I would love to see six or eight of those deployed in the Menai straights and pumping out the MW's :)

Absolutely, looking at the online videos it seems that they have done towed tests from a vessel which is in itself cool but not new. Towed survey is old tech. They do say that dragon 4 is operating but on a quick hunt I couldn't find data.

Would the Menai straits be too narrow? Last thing anyone would want is those things smacking into the sandbanks and getting damaged twice a day.

With all my heart I hope this is as they say, a flyer.

Thousands and thousands of babysteps to get to where they are. 👏 Even though it still seems a bit if when and but I'd buy in.

Excellent - there's a lot of tidal stream turbine research going on up at Orkney too.

Down towards Caernarfon the straights are quite wide and there are big sand banks but further up towards Menai and Bangor there are deep clear sections with a rock bottom ( ) which should be highly suitable for tidal energy. If not then theres always the Marine Energy Wales test area on Anglesey (Mon) that has excellent tidal conditions too.
