Thanks JB, and Nowty for the getaround, I found that article interesting on lots of counts.

I have lost the article about his desire to install a private grid connection but I suppose that follows from his investment in the company wanting to build a Morocco to England HVDC link which seems daft to me but then I never did good in business.

The chap that led our borough council into bankruptcy was a RE pioneer (his deputy got the MBE though) and he ran a private wire and heat main to buildings in the town, CHP using fossil fuels though.
