Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

The standing charge is getting a little eye watering.

60.10 p a day would be a welcome drop for me (and Moxi, I presume.) I'm already paying more than that, so I guess mine will be 60.17 plus the extra 7p!
It stinks.
2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,

Yes we are in the high SC area - I was thinking the same, what I pay now plus the uplift, its not going to long before they try the £365 per year SC plus electricity tariff.

On the up side I have found a highways contractor willing to do my road duct so that's with planning at the minute so I can think about more panels in the garden opposite which means more potential solar in the future so maybe I cant do much about the SC for the time being but I should be able to address the power consumption element.

The standing charge on our business tariff is £3/day - although if Octopus are kind enough to swap us to their triple-rate tariff mentioned in another thread, that will go down to £1/day! Oh and of course there's the additional Climate Change Levy charge on business energy too.
