Is Europe's energy crisis over?

Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Is Europe's energy crisis over?

Very high gas storage rates and falling gas prices potentially masks a wider problem in Europe's energy supply?
Thoughts?

That is extremely low yes - don't think I've ever seen it below 2 ish GW before. Even biomass is lower than normal, "just" 1.2GW.
I noticed my variable rate was very cheap today at 15.5p/kWh - the lowest it's been since I joined the tariff - the two are clearly related.

Wonder if they are trying to run without any fossil fuel? Today being close in preparation for tomorrow even all day?

National Grid has said its aim is to be able to run zero fossil burn when conditions allow by 2025, so yes I'm sure this is part of learning how to manage that process. Certainly was a lot of wind and solar for a while (7GW solar, 14GW wind) and nuclear is also as high as it's been for a long time (5GW)

I am doing what I can to help! Exported after the battery reached 100% at about 3pm, now going almost full whack out of the battery, that is minus the 700W coming off the roof...

We are again Net 100% RE net export and curtailing wind more than gas is producing. Probably not the proper definition.

We are under 1GW for CCGT although coal is 230MW but dropping...

Strong winds, warmer temperatures and quite a lot of clear skies for solar is kicking in across the whole of Europe - some crazy negative prices going on across the continent as a result. France had to curtail about 10GW of nuclear, Norway had to turn off some of its hydro!

I noticed that ccgt seems to go lower during the day and not overnight, over the last several days - i was wondering if that was due to some advantage of pv power to provide stability? Or simply that they're experimenting during the day when everyone is on hand to keep things under control?
