It doesn't actually say no new nuclear though does it, page 28 states that its a diminishing role but does state that new SMR's MIGHT be online and represent a possible contribution to other sources and could be a replacement for shortfalls in plant lifetime extensions for one AGR or late arrival of Hinck C on the bars. I notice the absolute absence of any reference to Sizewell C or Wlyfa B.
Lots of new pumped hydro which if done correctly could not only provide power surety but could also provide water storage and collection for water companies in the South and South west where such resources are desperately needed - joined up thinking anyone?
