They've been in trouble for a while.
The Zappi was genuinely gamechanging. They launched solar-diverting, PEN-fault detection, and other "smart" features into a market that was dominated by the dumb Rolec. However other charging points soon caught up with many of the features and Octopus integration took a ridiculously long time to implement, by which time the market had moved on and the Ohme became the wise choice.
They spent years "developing" a house battery solution that turned out to be a rebadged and overpriced Kstar.
Tricky space to operate in too. Once you fit a charging point that's you done for a decade at least. Great in the early days when no one has one, but once you've sold a few hundred thousand units you need to look abroad for expansion.

They've got the Eddi as well, but I get the point. I know they have been selling abroad, but I guess every country has its own regulations and competitor products?

One thing that's really nice about the MyEnergi stuff is the API and Home Assistant integration.
For instance, I can start forced battery discharge at 5.30am, then virtually plug the car in (well, I plugged in before going to bed, but left Zappi in stop mode) by setting my Zappi to eco+ at 8am which generates a schedule and puts the home battery storage back into forced charge mode and sets up a boost on the Eddi.

The evolution of the electricity market has made the self-consumption feature of the Zappi irrelevant. Most people who have an Eddi (or competitor) have turned it off. It is better to export at 15p these days...

Don't really use that any more. Better to export.
Edit: As Stinsy says...

That's my biggest concern and I voiced it on their forums. I've had too many products where the company has gone under rendering it useless because of a cloud api. I really hope they have a plan to not leave users in the lurch if they don't make it. A local API is essential.

I certainly hope they survive as they've replaced my four year old EDDI FOC recently when it threw an error code that couldn't be sorted via a software update, they even had an installer come round to fit it even though I'd fitted the original myself. Great customer service not often seen these days.
