Allowing a company with 10 or 20k customers to fail and expecting a big company to take the loss-making customers on, is one thing. 2million customers is a whole other story. That is where the system no longer works. I can’t see government having any other choice but to prop them up.

Bulb is actually bigger in customer numbers terms than Octopus.
The only energy companies "bigger" than Bulb in the UK are:
British Gas – The largest energy company in the UK.
EDF Energy
E.ON
npower
Scottish Power
SSE

There are loads more small ones who are going to fail, the small ones are no problem to deal with but "Bulb" or any larger ones cannot be passed on without government help or else the rest will collapse like a pyramid scheme and re-nationalisation almost guaranteed.Oliver90owner wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 10:11 pm Are there more than seven left?
