Lots of hammering and powertool use round my way after storm Malik. We had a section of shed wall punched in by the storm. All sorted and grateful that's Been all so far. I hope all you guys are OK, keeping an eye and ear open for storm Corrie, so far a no show and trees are all still. Anyone seeing it yet?

I'll be in bed by then! Just heard on classic fm that 90mph winds expected on the coast. That's a bit much. Just had a touch of sleet and trees are beginning to move.

Gusting forty mph here but that’s not really news as we get that quite a bit. The rest of the week looks a mixed bit generally cloudy affair according to country file.

Best wishes for folk further North I hope it passes quickly with the minimum of impact.

Picking up a bit now but no biggy so far, roofs making a little noise.(21.28).

In saying that the 15.55hrs 9.98GW is at 21.30hrs 14.02GW on gridwatch. Get that baby harnessed! :D

I am hearing Saturday to Tuesday power off for a lot of country areas in NE Scotland. That was off the back of Malik though. Hopefully Corrie won't be as bad.

Got the batteries, off grid solar for tomorrow and 2kW Inverter if it goes off tonight. Lost power yesterday but for seconds only. :ugeek: 14.24GW @ 21.43hrs

I wonder how long one of us could run our house solely on that 0.22GW rise?

Edit 220,000kWh would be at 5MWh pa 44 years running of home and EV. Wow! :)

21.49, clucking bell, it's here! :o

Actually felt the bed move slightly as the whole roof took a hit from the wind.

Lost power at about 09:30hrs Saturday and not back on till 19:00hrs Sunday, thankfully after Arwen (4 days no power) I got my finger out and got my generator operational. So after a rummage about in the garage on Saturday (with head torch in use) got a temporary fuel tank set up and started it up, noisy as it's air-cooled but warms up the garage nicely
Still need to get proper fuel tank made and some mains wiring to alter and it will be fully automatic in starting and stopping.

Huge leap forward, excellent. Beats paying day rate to hire one in. Is that a 3 cylinder lister?
