Not entirely convince about these:

Allowing anyone to remotely turn off your appliances sounds like a recepie for disaster, once the company gets hacked who controls your house?
Can't quite workout how it decides if your electricity is green or not unless it is just looking at NG CO2 average? Does it eed to know your electricity provider? How would you tell it about your share of a WT?

I looked at the size of the two internal relays and wondered how many seconds the printed circuit board relays would carry 13 amps before catching fire. Then considered how much power it is using in transmitting data.

I have repaired lots of grid inverter / variable speed drives over the years. Rarely the relay internal contacts fail. They fail where the cable connection is soldered to the printed circuit board. A lot of relays by design. ??? undersize the diameter and length of the cable leaving the relay. If the cable was longer it could be flow soldered across a much bigger surface area of the printed circuit board. This allows a higher current to flow.
