TBH, in Canada, over numerous years there was a big fake plastic owl perched under some eaves opposite our regular suite window, I never saw a bird land there, ..now whether that means it works or not I cannot say for sure, ..plenty of deer droppings on the ground though.

I guess the pigeon-repeller could / would be powered down overnight though.
Did it clear the mice? I did a rodent control course and to demonstrate how effective the ultrasonic device was they put one next to a cage with 2 rats in, no reaction at all, so save your money. The instructor was an acknowledged expert and did consulting for food factories and he visited one where they had just replaced the ultrasonic perimeter wire because the rats had chewed it and it no longer worked.

My boss had responsibility for a pest-control unit as well as us lot... He didn't believe in the plastic owl to keep the pigeons away, so he went to the big city station to observe how it was going. Came back with photos of it covered in pigeon crap where they had roosted on its head!
True story.

Have you looked into the hawk shaped kites. They use one at RHS Rosemoor over the cabbage patch and it appears to work for the pigeons. It's a kite attached to a long flexible pole and flies/rotates in the breeze.

No problem shooting woodpigeons so long as you stick to the rules of the General licence

I have been toying with the idea of trapping them on the lawn and feeding the breasts to the cat (or us...)
A decoy/habituation feeding area and a net to pull or drop over them might do the trick.
