New tetrapak any good?

As seen in Morrisons.
2 litres of card (small footprint, tall carton)
I can see a regular plastic opener & seating, ..fine easy to recycle, less bin space consumed etc.
Where I get confused though is the use of Bonsucro certified "plant based coatings" ..because of the tagline that stated 80% less plastic than a typical bottle, "there is only a thin layer of plastic to keep your milk safe"
So is the liner plastic plastic or degradeable bio-sugars plastic? ...i'm at a loss.
(The tetrapak site is awful tbh)
