That is a good article (as you would hope/expect) and I'm glad to see the 15cm legth mentioned. Lots of commercial offerings are way below this and I was told that short tubes skew the sex ratio of the bees which emerge: apparently those near the mouth are laid as one sex, and if the tube is short the next generation has too few of the other sex (can't remember which way round it is, but either way it's not good for them!
I have a video of leaf-cutters going down into a pot of succulents, the first thing I noticed was soil being dug out and dumped over the side of the pot, then noisy bees flying in with bits of leaf.
