Use single to three phase inverter drives at work to run 3 phase motors from single phase supply.
Always use Yaskawa v1000 model so settings are identical and we can keep one in stock.
Have just purchased 2 more -identical model no. etc and cannot get them to run a motor in any mode .......
Using quick start guide basically just sets the run control to local mode ....... but these will not run .......... local/remote led illuminates and when run is pressed we get a slow RUN led flash meaning something is not correct.........
Anyone experienced in these ?? We have reset to default but cannot get even local run via inverter control ..

Can you not copy all the parameters on the other inverter?

Inverters are default settings. Other installed have different parameters regarding motor control. Copied parameters do not work , so we have gone back to default just to get even manual control from the inverter then move forward
It's puzzling that we cannot get straight forward control from the inverter only to start with.
Motor for test purposes is dual voltage 3 phase wired in 230 delta .

What motor is being used. ?
The inverter gives out 440V
If the motor is a dual voltage (220/230, 380/440) then it can only be wired in star on a 440V supply

I had a quick look at the programming manual and the fault you describe seems to be triggered by:
Setting 16: Motor 2 Selection
The drive has the capability to control two motors independently. A second motor may be selected using a multi-function
digital input (H1-oo = 16) as shown in Figure 5.51.

Motor 2 is selected when the input set for Motor 2 Selection closes. When operating motor 2,
• E3-oo and E4-oo become valid for motor control. Refer to E3: V/f Characteristics for Motor 2 on page 175 and Refer
to E4: Motor 2 Parameters on page 176 for details.
• Accel/decel times set in parameters C1-05/06/07/08 are activated ( Refer to C1-01 to C1-08: Accel/Decel Times 1 to 4 on
page 147 for details).
• E4-14 is used as gain for slip compensation instead of C3-01.
• E4-15 is used as gain for torque compensation instead of C4-01.
• A digital output programmed for “Motor 2 Selection” (H2-01/02/03 = 1C) will be switched on.
Note: 1. When using 2 motors, the motor overload protection selection (oL1) set to L1-01 applies to both motor 1 and motor 2.

Thanks for help ........... my last post was badly worded - we are only running 1 motor. ( i said 3 phase motors)
Had 30 mins today after a re think and googling "Yaskawa V1000 run light flashing"................
Results suggest a frequency reference error ...... local mode / manual ........ BINGO --------- we are selecting local - run ......... BUT the F (frequency setting) is 0.000 ----------
School boy error if we ask a motor to run manually at zero frequency it will not run .........
If I enter a frequency I can run it from 10 -50 hz .........progress.
Now need to initiate remote start and frequency control from 0-1 bar (4-20ma) sensor .........
Run out of time -been showing potential customers shiny new milking parlours

Yaskawa V1000 is a single to three phase inverter rated at 4kw (16A)
Supply 230 v ac 1 phase gives max 230v ac 3 phase .
Cannot achieve a higher output voltage than input AFAIK........

You can get inverters that convert single phase 240V to a faux three phase 380V
My 1942 Adcock Shipley Model 1 horizontal mill with a 1944 Bridgeport M vertical head conversion needed such an inverter. The bridgeport motor was sorted using a modern 3 phase dual voltage motor and 240/240V inverter but the table and horizontal arbour motor is a 6 pole slow speed motor and the original from 1942 so 415V only.
6 pole motors are rare so first tried a 240V inverter but the motor took ages to get started and stalled under load so needed a better solution.
I came across the XSY AT4 inverter which said it took in 240v and put out 380V
With this the motor runs as it should, starts up quickly, can creep if needed and also at normal speeds will not stall.
Being curious I put a multimeter across the output to look at what voltage was being put out, it was not 380 AC constant as I had expected but was constantly varying AC if that makes sense. So its a faux 380V which the motor accepts as 380V and performs as if it was 380V.

I have used the XSY AT4 inverter on my lathe.
For bigger 440v motors you can use three phase to three phase inverters fed with a 240 volt to 415 volt single phase transformer.
You have to remember to isolate the transformer when your finished.
When walking back in the house from the sheds.
I put the remote smart meter next to the kettle.
Because Tea drinking is a large part of the day.
The amount of times I have had to walk back to turn the transformer off.
