Plumb a 25L jerry can under the ASHP to catch the condensate.
Its distilled water, which is basically what RO is, just a different method of getting it.
Great for all sorts, even putting in the iron, though limescale isnt exactly an issue up here.
Have you thought of a triangular canopy style bracket?

Condensate from an ASHP has many more contaminates than distilled water. As the air being cooled contains many things, most not visible to the naked eye, these are caught in the condensate. The list includes dust, pollen, spores both fungal and others) and depending on the siting of the ASHP it can include bird poo, organic matter such as pieces of leaves and twigs, etc.
Condensate can be good for plants but is not like distilled water.

Thanks Nora, that is pretty much what I am making. 3 of 1 mtr long. About 150mm tapering to about 50mm and 3 boards thick. Three of them in total to support two panels. Once again overengineering for the one of 80mph winds.NoraBatty wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:49 pm Plumb a 25L jerry can under the ASHP to catch the condensate.

Didnt know that.
Ive been wondering if i could do anything with the condensate from our ashp for a while now as i need to dig a condensate trap, because there isnt one, jist a pipe that dumps into an area by the path
