I love gabions, so simple yet textured and bonny in rain or dry.

Getting some late storm roofline sounds now. Very grateful that we've been unscathed.

Yes they’re proving a really effective ground mount anchor and it’s good habitat for the common lizard, insects and small mammals once they’ve aged a bit, the addition of some moss might be in keeping too.

Next week looks blustery up until about Thursday but wind speeds all seem to be well within the realms of manageable so far :xx:

Glorious sunshine here so already on electric heating, once we are home from karate I need to pull some cables and do some general tidying up in preparation for starting the new lean to which I’m hoping to have complete by late March.

Well if it’s still up there then it’s got a claim to being able to withstand a bit of a blow at the least.

Absolutely stunning day here, already put 3kWh back in the stack and having hosed off the panels and windows to remove salt spray I have plugged the car in to get some free miles from Sol.

Aye, it's still up there! Funny you mention panels. I looked out our ensuite window this morning and all the panels in view looked immaculate. Cleanest I've seen them in years. We are having a decent day here too. Best of the year in fact.

Exporting away and waiting on the HP guy to fit a AAV.

How far from sea are you Moxi? Currently double the HP load coming in via PV.. :D

We are approximately 3 miles as the salt sprays or the crow flies. On a nice clear day the Wicklow mountains are easy to see 56 miles across the bay.
