we have to bite the bullet and get dried lumber though.
We have a shared shed that straddles the boundary with the neighbour, and need to get an asbestos roof removed before dismantling can occur.
We have a very reasonable quote but once its gone, the build has to start as our stuff will have to be tarped over in the garden.

Me n No1 will be offloading then heading to pub for a burger & pint. I'll post photos tomorrow. There was a load of already cut timber air drying in a HUGE vanport on site.

Thats what i was hoping to ask
And how did the vanport look? Get any good ideas from the inevitable butchers at its construction?!

He has an idea... Plans drew up and materials ordered within the hour. Gets stuff that day and later on in the day, project has started. The next day it's built!

Looking a great DIY project

On first pass, very happy. Will stack to air and do a quick dim check tomorrow. I do like when it's a family company I'm dealing with. They are going to look into if they can do a larchlap board for siding. They think they've got the tool for it on the mill but not done them yet. See what I mean about family firm, how nice is that?

I'll adjust my vanport siding style to what the can do, good lads.

A mildly odd day.

Plasterer came for KSM glazing, excellent job.

Wictor came with timber, excellent job

Hakan got sacked for poor management and not enough Chutzpah/control in the pool and gardening side of things.



Ongoing from these three events.

Barry from KSM glazing gets another two houses to work on. KSM get bigged up here, very much still worth it.

Wictor gets the vanport siding contract for what it's worth and I help him with solar foc at his place plus I spread his name here.

Hakan loses his first contract as a boss which I personally helped him get.

It is SO important to be there ontime every single day. If you say you'll do it, be there 10 minutes early.

Weird day this. I don't like sacking people but my life lessons in the benefits of reductionism have never failed me, life really is simple.

Used to be £350 a minute offshore and that made me focus like a MF. Now it's simply who does what, when and who has that most basic ability to self-start.

Some just don't have the goods....ever.
