Hi folks ............ have dhw at gravity pressure from gas indirect cylinder.
All cold taps are cold mains pressure.
Bath only :(
need a temp shower before major refit to include thermal store and wood boiler......
FED UP WITH SLOW BATHS ...........
Want a shower (over bath) option whilst renovating.

A shower pump (taking cold/hot at atmospheric pressure) seems easiest but is lots plumbing - hot/cold vented supply.
I have cold (mains) hot (vented) - any clever cheap ideas ????
A cold only feed electric shower is too much work for temp supply..

You could use one of these https://www.screwfix.com/p/stuart-turne ... 0bar/6515d on the hot supply to the shower.

I vaguely recall reading something about a shower mixer which somehow used the Venturi effect to get the mains pressure cold water to drag along the gravity hot water to increase its flow to cope with this sort of situation, many, many years ago.

Perhaps mentioning it might trigger someone else’s memory.

Be careful with scalding dangers with the unequal pressures.

Perhaps the simplest is to run a plastic flexible cold feed from the cold water tank to the shower. It will have an equal head to the hot water.

If a twin impeller shower pump will work (don't know if you have to restrict the mains pressure cold feed), there is a nice cheap second hand one on ebay.
