Ah, yes, the MK1. Actually looks like a very similar failure to this one (triac, current sensor & opto I'm guessing, but haven't investigated yet).

Luckily U5 is still readable on this one even though one of it's legs has gone: ACS712T 20A current sensor.

And are these faults all caused by excessive hours in diversion mode?

Can you add heat sinks to heat sinks ( bolt on)to give more capacity, or is it easier to rig up fans as others have done?

difficult to say. The one here was closed in a cupboard along with a 3Kw inverter, so maybe high temperature played a part. But it worked ok there for several years.

This is a million to one shot. My immersun has given up the ghost. Seven years old. It suited my needs and I miss it. Had it disconnected for safety but would love to find someone near me who could repair rather than have to replace. Would rather pay a hundred than several hundred in these times. Live South England. Bath area.
Any suggestions please

Hi everyone
As you can see from my photos above I still have issues with getting the immersun working again, would anyone have a working PCB from the same model as mine or one they are certain would work in my model? Thank you all for your help, anyone please?

T1060 error code 2 Voltage back feed from heater 2, any ideas as to fault?

( Could it be as different fault on T1. The last T1 I replaced, on another unit, for Error 8 Under voltage was the primary coil, could this possibly be a secondary coil fault?)

I did see this as a spurious error whilst testing the immersun repair no.2 IIRC, but never as an actual fault in its own right.

I was testing on my off grid system with my cheap n cheerful powerjack inverter. The immersun used an opto isolator to measure the output voltage during startup testing (tests output 2 1st), and that particular version had an odd arrangement where the voltage feedback to the opto took it's line side from one side of the output common-mode inductor, but it's neutral side from the other side. The combination of filter caps and inductor arrangement, together with asymmetric caps on the opto voltage divider, meant that it would feed the powerjacks pwm modulation ripple through to the opto and give a spurious high reading. Other versions of the immersun didn't have this issue. Testing on grid ac eliminated the issue.

Cheers, I'll try it on a grid connection not my home grid. (Other immersuns have been ok though)
