I thought 15MW+ was a done deal. China beginning to take a lead here though. A couple of Chinese firms boast 18MW prototypes I believe. Don't think any of the European manufacturer are there yet. Might be some leapfrogging going on of course.

State of the art in the "West" is Vestas with a 15MW machine now. GE has a 13MW upgrade version of their 12MW machine
Globally, China have a 16MW machine in testing and the same manufacturer has unveiled an 18MW prototype.

This article has a great pic of a blade for a 15MW monster being moved by road, that's so, so long. Check out the way it goes around (or doesn't go around) a roundabout!

World’s most powerful wind turbine’s blades arrive for installation
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

a bit late but we do have quite a lot of inertia only plants up and running - with more being built:

Ooh f@@rk, too much wind, too many wind projects amidst energy poverty & supply uncertainty, ..tax that wind for producing too much of the clean stuff

You couldn't make it up!

Will we need more paper & pritt-stick to extend another record busting chapter in "tall" graph theory !?

If that's, will we have a new record ?

I doubt it as although there might be enough wind resource, there looks to be too little demand (its a Sunday) to bust another one. But it will drop the gas burning to very low levels.

20.9GW of wind power in UK at this moment on a very windy couple of days to come.
