I've missed out on all these 100kWh days.

Whilst I was away my master Immersun unit failed with a sensor error, works again now after a reboot. I've had this before and I think its something to do with having minimal loads running and the sensor never measures any meaningful fluctuations as its only happened when I'm away on hols. The upshot was no storage heater dump load available, so inevitable generating curtailment at Nowty Towers. :?

Other the other hand I have just hit 90 MWh on the Solar and 8 MWh on GF.

Only 2 MWh to go to the 100 MWh which I thought 11 years ago might only happen after 25 years of the original 4kW system. It will happen now sometime in the first half of June. 8-)

Thinking forward with KH and DW, the 200 MWh milestone will go in a little over 3 years time.

And maybe 1 GWh within my lifetime. :o

Well the 20th was a 44.23kWh day at GF so that's my first back to back 100kWh day set. :ugeek:

Only just and by the hair on my chinny chin chin.
Mind you when KH and DW come on line, 100kWh days will become more frequent. :D
Iain, I hope you go blasting past and set new records!

(nowtyfact)
Quick comparison of the 3 Ripple projects in terms of their generating ability vs their initial investment cost.

The cost of 1 Watt on a single full payment basis,
GF - 173.23 pence
KH - 185.48 pence
DW - 107.58 pence

1 Watt will generate the following kWh in an average year based on the share offer projection.
GF - 2.67233 kWh
KH - 3.17320 kWh
DW - 0.98038 kWh

For the basic asset life, I'm going to take the length of the share capital repayment element which is 20 years for GF / KH and 33.3 years for DW. This is pessimistic as In reality they will probably go on for longer but may come with higher operating costs as the asset nears end of life.

1 Watt will generate over its basic asset lifetime,
GF - 53.45 kWh
KH - 63.46 kWh
DW - 32.65 kWh

Cost of each kWh generated over its basic asset lifetime,
GF - 3.24 pence
KH - 2.92 pence
DW - 3.29 pence

Aye the daily generation figures for the combine will be massive (I secretly hope you smash records as well).

Someone mentioned that DW could possibly come online as early as Spring 24? I only watched a snippet of the presentation so missed that. That would mean that KH online with gremlins worked out along with DW outputting alongside could be a lot earlier than I originally thought? :ugeek: The thought that 5 of the combine could generate 1MWh of RE power in a single day is quite awe inspiring. 8-) Makes me want to drive my Bongo to Devon and help them set up! :D

Well it's been a cracking past 4 days for sunshine up here (today's completely overcast and cold though!) and like yourself Joe have managed a couple of back to back 100kWh days. 19th was 105.8kWh, 20th was 105.5kWh and waiting to see what GF's output was for the 21st, I need 15.5kWh from it to make it another 100kWh day. Just missed out on the 18th with 98kWh.
Mind you when KH and DW come on line, 100kWh days will become more frequent. :D

Well GF let me down by only producing 4.82kWh on the 21st, but hey, average over the 4 days was 99.68kWh so well pleased by that. :D

Comms back online at GF, but the turbine is out for another maintenance.

Graig Fatha maintenance today
25/04/2023
Graig Fatha will be off today for maintenance, taking advantage of the very low winds.

Lets hope Johnny Wan Spanner doesn't trip over the comms power cable on the way out again. ;)

Of course, and the bomb was defused in almost the same way.

Project 3, Derril Water solar farm is now open to all, so if you did not pay the upfront reservation fee but want to buy in, you now can.
