Hit 22GW last night according to iamkate.
The National Grid App still has 21.8GW in Dec 2023 as the wind gen record - wonder which is correct?
Depends how you measure it because approx a third is unmetered, at least on a live basis so a fair bit is estimation.
I also think the "official" NESO record is either the min or average over a standard 30 min slot and they do a fair amount of verification before they announce a record and its always a bit lower than is shown elsewhere. Its still possible that the record has been broken but needs the (mon to fri) day team to be back at their desks early in the week.
Solar records are even harder as there is even more estimation and based on the official installed capacity which notoriously lags real time. We have sometimes had a new solar record announced weeks or months later when it turned out there was much more capacity installed and the numbers are rerun.
EDIT - I notice the iamkate website is saying their number is an average over a half hour slot,
"New wind power records are set regularly, and between 9:30pm and 10:00pm on 5th December 2024 British wind farms averaged a record 22.02GW of generation."
