Graig Fatha update
07/09/2022
Yesterday's investigation at Graig Fatha found an issue with the blade positioning sensor on one of the blades.
The positioning sensor is used to ensure the blade is at the correct angle to optimise the power extracted from the wind, and to ensure the rotor turns at the right speed. The turbine can't operate until it is fixed.
The team will continue on site today undertaking further fault finding and repair work.
We will keep you posted.
I wonder whether it has just slipped, or always been wrong? My actual delivered kWhr has consistently been about half of the predicted production.
That's a fair point AE and the last two months have seen particularly poor returns, although I seem to remember Ripple were pleased with the first month's return being 14% above expectations based upon windspeeds recorded during that period apparently.
Let's hope it's back and running soon. :?

Nice! I am single figures VB and unlikely to make it to double. No matter as it is doing as I hoped for on the single WT (apart from the breakdowns, furling and apparent Mon to Fri reaction time). Eh, what have the Romans ever done for us? :)

I think AE nailed it. Look at how close generation and prediction are now.

What magic is this? Predicted 16.00 to 17.00 0.58kWh, actual power 0.58kWh. That is a first! :)

not quite: from the 8th to the 10th and 15 to 17 May I got more than predicted (on a daily basis), but the rest has been all over the place, generally around 50% - or less.
Not grumbling, just saying.
