mine is now showing correctly too, thanks for the alert.
(No reply from them to my pre-9am webchat this morning, or to the email where I sent my month's workings... Not even a "thanks for bringing this to our attention!")
Good to see it put right though.

I REALLY have to stop looking at Kirkhill site weather.

Graig Fatha 9.3 mph
Kirkhill 23.6 mph.

Let's hope it delivers more than the 50% of predicted production that Graig Fatha manages...

Since operation WT1 is only around 20% down on the initial prediction so far, most of the yield will come from the next 6 windier months.

See last monthly capacity factor post earlier today,

In that case they need to wind down their daily predictons. I was talking about the next 4 day figures on their website.

Yeah, we know there rubbish, we just have to put up with that. To be honest I don't think I would have done the predictions if I were them, I'm quite happy with just the live readings.

When the data feeds not down. ;)

Oh it will!
WT2 will have a higher capacity factor to live up to though at 36.6% vs WT1 at 30.5%, but from what I have seen with the weather reports there, it probably will.

New pictures from Ripple, regarding WT2.

Interesting as I wondered recently whether winglets on windfarm blades would work, but I'm not convinced about the serrations on the trailing edges. Aircraft don't use them, and I reckon they are likely to break off after a few years, especially after a few bird strikes. :?

The first pictures of the Kirk Hill turbine blades are in!

An exciting moment for all Kirk Hill members. Here are the first photos of your turbine blades. Each blade is over 44M long. The serrations you see on the trailing edges help to reduce turbulence as the high-pressure air on the front meets the low-pressure air on the back; this both improves performance and reduces noise. The curved tip to the blade is for similar reasons, and acts in the same way to winglets that you see on some commercial aircraft. Lots more exciting news on your build to come over the next few weeks. Head to the Community link in your dashboard menu to see all the videos and photos from site soon.
