@Joeboy, If you can't see the wind map photo, I reckon your virtual Kirk Hill wind turbines are currently bouncing off the limiter.

WT1 having a bit of a rest and taking it easy today after banging out an average capacity factor of 81% for the first two days of November.

@Joeboy, I've managed to get the monthly capacity factors for WT2 Kirk Hill from Ripple. :geek:

The share offer for WT1 was based upon the P75 (75% probability) numbers as they had no real measured data for it.

The share offer for WT2 was based on higher P50 (50% probability) numbers as they had some real measured data. So WT2 was more expensive per watt but is cheaper per kWh generated.

I've made a graph showing the forecasted monthly capacity factors for both wind farms, in national colours too.

That's some serious detail Nowty for us all. Thank you! Gives Mr Gus something to plan on.

January @ Kirkhill!
Over 1.7MWh in a V month.

I just worked out my total for December, both windfarms and my baseline solar.

2,090 kWh - that's not far off carbon neutral for that month.

But if I also had WT3........ 8-)

My brain is banjaxxed today, it took me a long time to remember what joe was on about (good 40 mins of being completely stumped whilst brain racing) ..so much that the dogs have ended up being fed supper twice!

But now I have, phenomenal stuff nowty 👍

That's insightful.

looking good at the moment... a well-chosen site!

I'm a bit surprised that it doesn't correlate very well with my predicted performance:

Image
A
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!
