Not really. Elmsland has generated 93% of its theoretical maximum over its 33 year lifetime to date.

It's almost incomparable. To have 1300 MW on dispatchable.

This station is so good that the German government taxes half of the operating profit and gives it to renewables as subsidy. So run that maths.

Closure of this plant means 2 billion m3 pa gas replacement as wind cannot do it.

It's good performance for wind though, hopefully they can crack 15MW turbine production.

Well that's June total CF passed on the 11th day of January.

Just to pass the time I'm going to say 10pm on 23rd January for toppling November, the current record holder.

Anyone else fancy a guess? The prize is an air of smugness for 1 hour at a time chosen by you, the winner!

I see that Turnberry (WT2-9) has an expected wind speed of 31mph later this evening 😳

I don't think we've see WT1 'furl' yet have we? Should be about 22mph at WT1 site at the moment, not sure what peak wind has been in the turbines life.

Found the Vensys 2.5MWh 121 datasheet.

Cut in speed is 6mph, cut out speed is 50mph. We should be OK for a bit!

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source= ... BI8M-QGWrQ

Running flat out at a tad over 26mph.

Can we bottle it & keep it on the mantle?

Still blowing bigly on the fens edge, front door getting blasted by the sheer force when you try to close it, a regular occurrence.

Wish we could. Storage, storage, storage to follow insulate, insulate, insulate.

You not having a guess for tipover into WT1PB Gus?
