Yes, and maybe another couple of good days before it goes quiet again... Lovely.
(January was a belting month though, 14 almost consecutive days above 50%)

It was indeed. If it repeats next Jan it will throw off over £220 in a single month.
GF is going to go a long way towards paying for P3.

After writing what we'd make towards P3 from GF in Jan 24 I thought i should have a look and see how it could fully play out. Set my guesstimate figure at 12p per kWh from KH and it being operational from 1st March 24.

I ran the sum with
50% of GF return
100% of Solar FIT
100% of Hydro-turbine return
100% of KH return outputting from 1st March 24

I managed to cover a whopping 67% of the cost of a 3kW VPV in the Southern sector paying into it from June 23 to May 24 with our current in play RE (shares not included).

That is a hell of a deal. Son & daughter have also signed up for the VPV. Son already has 3kW of KH. Family RE at multiple locations, pretty awesome! :D

I ran my numbers and one year of FIT + one year of GF on the old lower rate will 100% cover 4.4kW of VPV in P3.

It would be rude not to.
16.9kW PV > 107MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 22MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

Output isn't matching the weather at site, not even close.

Crazy stats,

The last two days of GF generation will likely pay for the whole of my April import.

Todays GF generation alone will likely pay for the whole of my import from May to mid Sept.

That does not include the standing charge though , I need another 3 similar days for that.

nowty wrote: Wed Apr 05, 2023 10:43 am Unless your at the very top of the waiting list, you will be waiting a very long time, probably forever, so I would go with the Solar farm. The released shares are only from a few individuals who could not keep up their monthly payments so had to withdraw from the CoOp.

If however you get lucky and are offered another slug of KH before the Solar farm offer opens, I'd be inclined to max out on KH as its cheaper, faster payback and is also part way through construction with no obvious problems.
Thanks Nowty, have joined the waiting list on the off chance I get to add a bit but otherwise I'll be on the solar farm.
A bit of info from ripple answering a question about the KH waiting list,

Q- I’ve joined the waiting list to buy more KH which would impact what I could invest in R3, if I called the office would they be able to give me a likelihood of getting more KH (ie am I number 7 or number 10004) ?

A- Everyone who has been successful will be contacted this week and I'll send an email to everyone who has been unsuccessful this round. If you have been unsuccessful it is very unlikely there'll be more shares soon so P3 is your best bet...and P3 is very close now.

Damn!
Thank you for requesting additional shares in Kirk Hill. You are now part of the live wait list as and when additional shares become available.

We can confirm that the small number of available Kirk Hill shares have now been allocated to members at the top of this wait list. There remains over 1,300 members on the wait list. A total of 155,000 kWh have now been allocated to 81 members. We do not anticipate many more shares being available in the near future. You will remain on the waiting list but if you are looking to increase your ownership soon, you are now much better placed joining Project 3.
