Already done that, the main reason for this trip is our grandsons baptism. And why in Rome when they live in London ?, so they don’t need to go to church on Sunday and do a church course.

It could just be propaganda, but they made a specific point of diverting from the DW talk to mention it.

Cheers nowty, keep us posted!

Baptism to avoid a course? sounds like they are better off dropping any illusions as to being religious & simply living.

Perfectly understandable as to why they would want to avoid the scientology course, I remember it well as a best man in St Louis, we were apparantly meant to do a catholic crash course of some sorts too ...screw that!

Meanwhile russian priests are blessing weapons  ..understandably, not my "god" I still get pissed about the crusades (same schtick different century)

Sun is dipping back home, 52.3kWh from existing PV, 5.5kWh HT. We had a shutdown at GF then the comms went tits up. Ooh the anticipation!

IF we cleared 42.2kWh at GF today that would be my first triple digit back to back day(s). :ugeek:

Gotta love this time of year!

That’s 5 now, but what’s wrong with 1000W.

I am having OCD with my purchase of 37 watts too much.

In that case they forgot to reset the comms.

Graig Fatha maintenance
20/04/2023
A team was on site today to do some checks on pressure and temperature settings on the converter (that's the bit of kit that smooths out the frequency of the generated power so it's at the same frequency of the grid). Downtime was kept to a minimum and the team confirmed they managed to complete their work in about 30 minutes.

Let's see what Simon says today.

We used to use mechanical actuators electrically driven to reset light circuit breakers on our rov's. If a bulb blew when subsea on a twin light circuit and tripped the junction box breaker, voilà reset it and still have one light working.

It's where I got the idea and hunted for the switchbot mechanical actuator to control my solariboost remotely via phone. If a nugget like me can reboot and control an iboost from Turkey using my phone, a smart plug and an actuator then how hard can it be to have a mobile phone resettable modem on GF?

In addition 'scheduled reset' smacks of wormy words and dissembling away from the truth.

"Hi Simon,

Solutions do exist to mechanicaly control the modem in realtime on demand. You should by now in the turbines timeline be able to do this remotely as a matter of course and not wait on a 'scheduled reset'?

As the modems hourly data is the owners primary means of seeing the turbines performance and operational status as close to real-time as is currently offered should this not be treated as and acted on as a priority?

From last month from yourself.. "On the turbine comm's issue - there were problems early on with the modem: we worked closely with all parties to identify and address those issues. The recent comm's issue was unrelated and was due to the grid outages impacting the battery for some of the comm's equipment. The unavailability of that comm's equipment did not stop the turbine from operating."

I'd like to see this addressed ASAP before the same issues raise themselves on Kirkhill. I'd also like to hear what happened yesterday and why it failed on a site visit?

Thank you

Joe"
