Better make that 2001 people signed up :D

Yes apparently start date is January 2022 for WT2 so as you say launched off the back of start of generation for WT 1 and the media attention that will create.

Interesting times

So that's 14 members from here on my secret list for WT2, one more than my secret list for WT1 or are you already a member of WT1 ?

A BBC spot. Particularly liked the look of the clean can on 'ours' and scale of the mast compared to van on the other turbines at 15.00

I have just had my invitation to do the Trustpilot review...
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.ri ... com?page=3
It's not surprising that members who are looking forward to it starting generating soon are optimistic! After all the build seems to be going OK and nothing seems to have gone badly wrong yet (as far as we, the public are aware!)

2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

I saw the video but missed that parked van. From what I can find out about the existing wind farm, its 76 x 3MW Siemens turbines and was completed in 2017. Their foundation concrete pouring took a continuous 12hrs. Rotor diameter is the about the same at 100m so our turbine will look almost the same in size. https://group.vattenfall.com/uk/what-we ... -y-cymoedd

And interestingly the wind farm has a battery consisting of 500 x BMW i3 battery packs. https://group.vattenfall.com/uk/what-we ... attery-pyc

Email just come in:
We are thrilled to let you know your 2.5MW Vensys turbine will arrive on site next week and the process of assembling the major parts will begin this coming Monday! This is a huge milestone for you, our 907 Graig Fatha members, without whom none of this would be possible.

The erection of the turbine is anticipated to take 3 days, culminating with the blades being lifted into place on Wednesday, if the weather holds up.

We'll be there on site every day next week to bring you lots of exciting photos as it happens. The quickest way for you to access these will be to visit your members' dashboard where we hope to share the progress on a daily basis.

We are working with all the relevant parties to ensure your turbine is energised as quickly as possible, so you can begin to receive your own source of green electricity and see your bill savings. The grid company expects to be ready for us to export power in late February.

We look forward to bringing you all the exciting news from site next week!
