Ripple energy "strike off"
Re: Ripple energy "strike off"
I wonder if, for WB aat least there is a valid complaint to be made of mis selling due to how much things have changed.
Its way beyond my comfort zone to be able to say for sure.
A complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service would maybe also be a viable option.
If things are disappearing it may be best to start screenshotting so that any future complaints and their responses can be looked at properly, instead of covered up.

Well that's strange as I've just used the link and there is a call for a general meeting and another for an EGM!cojmh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 10:45 am looks like Ripple are cleaning out all of the community posts that they don't want people to see.
I cannot find the previous post regarding the EGM (or other posts calling for the EGM) and the link I posted yesterday doesn't go to a specific post anymore ......
pretty terrible - especially as none of it was unacceptable in my humble opinion.

It is taking me to a different place - although there is still one other one calling for an EGM (my mistake).Fintray wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 11:15 amWell that's strange as I've just used the link and there is a call for a general meeting and another for an EGM!cojmh wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 10:45 am looks like Ripple are cleaning out all of the community posts that they don't want people to see.

The post I had linked to had a draft document for what they wanted to ask at the EGM (as this is what the coop rules required) and links to online signup for people to put their names towards the 100 signature requirement.
It was a thread with over 30 posts on it last time I looked and as I say I cannot find it now.
Happy to retract if I am wrong or being thick .... but I have spent a while looking for it now
Re: Ripple energy "strike off"
At least there is a space here for investors to discuss their thoughts and the posts won't disappear. As long as they don't veer into libelous I'm ok with that.
When I disentangled from them I felt an enormous weight that I hadn't realised was there lift and I was floaty light.
If you want to get away from them you'll need to try hard and lose being polite. You need to break their membership rules so they'll kick you out. Make it REALLY hard for them to have you around.
They control their own community board and police it completely for themselves and their spin. There are other public spaces that I'm sure (know) they monitor. That's where to make your thoughts known.
I can tell you from personal experience that they have every post you have made on their servers. These are not nice people. They are not in it for the members opinions or input.
Draconian, overbearing, false facing, dissembling, horrendous censorship. (No, not here)!
Think your darker thoughts and don't give them the benefit of the doubt. Then you'll be where I was, looking at them for what they are. Is that an overshare maybe?
In the end, I simply didn't like how they made me feel and I like having peace of mind and surround myself with honest communicative people whenever possible.
Edit- I also didn't like that two of the management of Ripple showed up as friends suggestion on my FB. That indicates to me that they were creeping about my FB profile. That's not professional or maybe I'm old fashioned? Just another pointer towards "this isnae fir me".

Re: Ripple energy "strike off"
I read on facebook last night that one person that called for an EGM got a reply and it mentioned, at that time 26 had asked for one.
85no 58mm solar thermal tubes, 28.5Kw PV, 3x Sunny Island 5048, 135kWh Rolls batteries, 52kWh Growatt storage GBLI 6532, 66kWh Pylontech US3000C, 43kWh DIY, Sofar ME3000's, Brosley wood burner and 250lt DHW
Re: Ripple energy "strike off"
I suspect there are probably more now .... I have been holding off because I like to act when I have had time to digest and sit with the issue for a while.
They were not clear either whether they were accepting those 26 representations as valid requests for the EGM (out of the 100 needed). They simply said that they had received 24 requests (which was the number I had read on the community forum). So it might well be that they get out of it on a technicality as the rules state 100 signatures on a request for the EGM that is posted to their offices and has to detail what we want to discuss (and nothing else apart from that would be discussed).
It makes it very onerous to get one of these meetings ... but if we do get it, it also shows how majorly hacked off a significant number of people are.

I don't know why I missed it earlier - but it is there, so I may have jumped the gun on that one. Sorry folks.
Re: Ripple energy "strike off"
You have all read the email form the KH Coop board haven't you ?
Message from the Kirk Hill Coop Board from yesterday,
Dear Nowty,
Further to the email from Sarah Merrick, CEO of Ripple, I wanted to issue a short statement to reassure you that the Kirk Hill Coop Board is fully aware of the current situation.
As your Board, our first priority is you, the members, and we are working hard with the investment partner, Bruntwood, to ensure that Kirk Hill Wind Farm Ltd (the company known as a special purpose vehicle or SPV which owns the wind farm assets and in which both the Coop and Bruntwood are shareholders) to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We will give careful consideration to any findings and recommend changes as necessary to secure the long-term health of the Coop.
As you may be aware, the issue with both Companies House (for the SPV) and the FCA (for the Coop) relate to the accounts and both parties have now instructed independent accounting advisors and auditors to investigate and resolve the situation. Companies House has already agreed to defer action for approximately 8 weeks to enable the SPV to bring the filing requirements up to date.
I know that this must feel like a very unsatisfactory position to many of you and I have received a small number of representations calling for an EGM. Rather than a formal general meeting with a long notice period the board proposes instead a members meeting that can be called more quickly once the situation is clearer. Members would then be entitled to call an EGM afterwards if unsatisfied.
We will look to find a date when we can, and in the meantime, we will send a weekly update with whatever we can tell you until this situation is resolved. Please bear with us as we deal with this significant commitment in addition to our day jobs.
