The new Hornsea 2 extension is really showing its worth - and that of far-offshore.
Currently operating at 99.7% of full nameplate capacity, belting out 1296MW.
Hornsea 1 similarly churning out the power at 97% capacity, generating 1181MW.

Construction for Hornsea 3 is meant to start soon.

Another high wind day today, outside chance of a record but demand forecast is higher than usual today.

Would be nice to see. The toppling of the Oct record is a closer run thing than I expected.
84.62% of Oct take generated by midnight on 23rd Nov. Should be over 90% by midnight tonight? Just shows how those low output days have a massive impact.

They should have built a turbine at the back of my cottage ! we've had gales all week more or less and today snow hail, sleet, thunderstorms and now just gales and showers which if like me you are outside feel just like standing in the shower fully clothed! Cold and soaked in less than thirty seconds.

WBS is on and I am drying out slowly :(

Incoming solar gain 95Watts which is better than some days lol - not the best November by a country mile

JB, Hows your 12V leisure battery charge going from your turnip - it must be benefitting from these breezy days even if just a little ??

We are brothers in weather Moxi, deluge here last week or so, minus 3 one day, freezng fog. The turnip spins up now and then, puts a wee bit into the LB. Will see how it goes and add another two striplights to garage utility strip if there is any excess and im not pulling the LB down. SWMBO's request too! Will save the main stack feeding the tube strip lights in garage. Every little helps! :D

Edit 12.31V in LB, woohoo! It's increasing! Also a mighty 430W incoming from the potential 10kWp. I've said before, I enjoy playing in the edges, the main 8 months are great but a bit boring. WBS also on here cooking a korma. Away into Aberdeen to meet an offshore mate at Brewdog, keep the local economy going!

That's "Terry" to you Moxi, ..The chocolate orange look alike.
Any output data to give us a realistic overview Joe? anything to stop us calling it a kinder egg toy? 8-) & be a bit more charitable, or is it still looking iffy?

This design pops up so often that its good to hear of one in use to get some knowledge of it.

Well it's not contributing to the 20.3GW that's for sure! I paid no attention to its output over the years yet it has been outputting. Its been up for about 3 years now and I've never worried about it overcharging the LB! In a decent laminar airflow I think it could do 👍!
That of course depends on what you match it to, led lights are just fine but it's not going to do heating. At the more extreme end of thought, I now have offgrid light, non solar dependent and at the time of year i might need it. Weird to write that.
