Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
As 1st March will be the new price implementation point I've taken a liberty and since I'd forgot to allow for a leap year. Closest at Midnight on the 29th Feb .

Ouch! But I am a bit surprised that it's not even the 9p a unit we got in the first year. However we are getting a very useful parting bonus so far this month.

On the upside, we are today at 18.00hrs a roi of 53.56% and not a single bit of that can be taken away.
It is the right time of year for this change in pricing from my pov. Waxing solar, waning grid use, a little bit of juice (50%+) in the VB and KH on the horizon hopefully paying out for May in June.
It has been a great year and like John S I think we'll wait long and long to it again. Hey, forgot about the unicorn solar park! That's coming online this year too?

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Two graphs, two timelines, both showing the leccy year ahead price per kWh.
When the share offer for GF was announced in mid 2020 the rebate was forecasted to be only 3.5p / kWh, but a few months after the forecast rebate increased to 4.5p, then 6p and it ended up being 9.64p for the first year.
First a long term graph going back to around 2005, you can see just how stable prices have been for a very long time and effectively dropping in real terms if inflation is taken into account. The first year 9.64p was probably negotiated in late 2021 after prices started to rise, initially because of China's thirst for LNG, then the Russian military build up before invasion of Ukraine in Feb 2022. Prices peaked around the time of the gas shut off from Germany and the sabotage of the gas pipelines.
A more near term graph, note the second year 27p was negotiated around Nov 2022 (left hand side of the graph).
And the latest, third year of 6.55p more recently (right hand side of the graph).

Duh, how did I miss this from yesterday!
The savings rate is the value of the power your share generates, minus your wind farm’s operating cost. From 1st March 2024 your new savings rate will be 6.55p/kWh.

Nice to see GF massively outperforming today's prediction!
Had a quick look at KH site. It would be at full tilt if operational.

You can benchmark KW here and there seems to be a place holder dot on the KH location,
https://renewables-map.robinhawkes.com/ ... 81/-4.7071
I've annotated the pic below with the current CF and wind farm size info. I've noticed for some time now that the larger windfarms seem to get some reduction in output but the smaller ones don't.
The nearest comparison with the exact same size as KH is Tralorg which is currently at 96%.

Congratulations to Adokforme with the closest guess to ROI figure at Graig Fatha for end of year three payment! ROI is currently at 54.49% with a full 15 days left to run. Where will it end?Joeboy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 4:13 pm As 1st March will be the new price implementation point I've taken a liberty and since I'd forgot to allow for a leap year.
