Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Hoping to get into Ripple project 4, reservation is in. MY consumption of energy the last few months was around 1200kw/month !
I need my other panels up and producing.

a unit is a KWh... makes no odds... still costs the same

Its still wrong, Kelvin Watt hour should be kilo Watt hour

Slip of the caps lock, you all knew what it meant. We all power our house through the same measure and units.
Nobody here measures their solar, wind output or house demand in Kelvin. Being obtuse for the sake of it is quite sad

It wasn't the 'K' it was the lack of 'h'.Fueltheburn wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 4:14 pm Slip of the caps lock, you all knew what it meant. We all power our house through the same measure and units.

kW and kWh totally different things. Sorry, but it's one I really hate to see. K or k, I get mixed up myself.

If your estimated annual usage is more than 7,000k Whs, Ripple will, at some stage, want to see proof. Ideally an estimate of your annual usage from your supplier. They don't like it if you try and extrapolate from a high usage for a month or two. Eg, if you used 1,200 kWhs for four winter months and use a lot smaller amount for the rest of the year, you cannot say your annual usage is 12 * 1,200 kWhs = 14,400 kWhs. My impression is that they have got a lot tighter in controlling this and won't accept a ' I shall get a heat pump when my gas boiler needs replacing'.Fueltheburn wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 1:13 pm Hoping to get into Ripple project 4, reservation is in.
