An update video at Kirk Hill about the 53,000 tree's that have been planted.

Also I note that the year ahead wholesale leccy price has increased by about 2p / kWh since the lows in Feb from 6p / kWh to 8p / kWh, so we might be getting a nice uplift Xmas present by December when the next PPA price is reviewed. :xx:

They're all up and running :)

Hi,

It's the news you've all been waiting for. This week your last 2 turbines were commissioned. All 8 Kirk Hill turbines are now generating clean, green electricity for you. As you know we are now going into an important testing period for the turbines which is entirely normal once they have been commissioned. We know that you're keen to see your generation figures on your dashboard. We anticipate this will begin next month. Information will be top line at first, but as we get more in-depth data, we will add that to your dashboard. We anticipate that your first savings will be displayed and added to your electricity bill as a credit in July.
3.87kWp PV
10.24kWp PV SolarEdge system
Tesla Powerwall 2
100 x 47mm Navitron tubes (still being installed!) Now likely to be removed for more PV.
MK2 PV router DHW diverter
Morso 5kW WBS
Vaillant AroTherm 10kW ASHP
Nissan Leaf

Excellent news, 6.8mph at KHVB site this morning. Great to think that all 8 are spinning (a bit). At 4.3mph displayed on the weather app, GFVB is getting it done a little bit too.

If the open day.falls in second third of Aug then defo heading down for this.

"Kirk Hill open day - August

We'll soon send out an email giving members a chance to visit Kirk Hill. We will open up the site for one day in August, giving you a guided tour of the site and the chance to meet some familiar faces from Team Ripple. To avoid disappointment, we will provide a list of 3 possible dates and ask members which date(s) they can attend. We will then pick which single date is suitable for most people. We will also be looking at a virtual event for those who would prefer it, or who are unable to travel. More details to come soon."

Wind strength at KH is currently around 14mph and the benchmark ones are running at 15% to 20%. :xx:
Note- Ignore the Tralorg one as it permanently shows 96%, whatever the wind is.

Nice one Nowty, i'd forgotten about that webpage. Had a look this morning and the nearest comparison turbine site is running at 27%. We should be up on the KHVB accumulation board first thing Saturday morning. 8-)

Hadyard will do nicely until Ripple get the KH comms to our dashboards embedded.

And GF currently blowing at 99%.

So for me, thats 4kW coming in on GF and now maybe 0.75kW coming in on KH.

Makes up for the pitiful 1kW I have coming in on my home solar today, its constant drizzle here.

Thanks Nowty, so the saying goes a picture says a thousand words and certainly the case here.
After a nudge from Mart I've been rechecking our import/consumption now that we've V2H/G and discovered we're using a lot more than we did previously so took the plunge in going beyond that 7000 kWh figure allowing so us to have a share in Whitelaw Brae, getting closer to being on a Hatrick once it comes alive.
Looking forward to spending sometime up in Scotland once a date for Kirk Hill is determined.
Anyone up for guessing how many of us might attend? How about a dozen as a starter! :xx:
